Trump Las Vegas Hotel Won’t Recognize Union

Las Vegas, NV- The Trump International Hotel Las Vegas has refused to recognize a vote by its employees to become unionized. Instead, management has challenged the results of the election earlier this month in which workers chose to be represented by the Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and the Bartenders Union Local 165 of UNITE HERE.

We are not surprised that Trump Las Vegas management have filed objections to the outcome of a free and fair union representation election won by their workers who want a union,” said Culinary secretary-treasurer Geoconda Arguello-Kline. The two unions, which represent workers at most of the casino resorts in Las Vegas, have filed numerous complaints about anti-union harassment at the Trump Las Vegas with the National Labor Relations Board, and the company has agreed to drop rules it admitted illegally suppressed employees’ free speech.
