Yesterday, over 2,000 Kaleida Health employees picketed in Buffalo, NY regarding an upcoming contract expiration.

More layoffs of county workers are planned in Buffalo, NY according to Erie Executive Chris Collins.

During the Straus-Kahn trial yesterday, fellow hotel workers shouted “shame on you” at Straus-Kahn and appeared at court in support of the hotel maid allegedly assaulted by the ex-IMF chief.

Livery cab drivers continue to protest the Five Borough Taxi Plan. Yesterday, they rallied at City Hall.

Councilmembers counter Mayor Bloomberg’s budget plan with a proposal to cut contracts with private contractors.
