Last month, 9400 jobs were created in New York City, but the unemployment rate stayed the same.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo released a statement yesterday saying that he would not allow the legislature to go out of session until a new rent regulations bill is signed.

Today is the day for the Valley Stream-based Target store to vote on unionizing and being represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union.

A touch of irony: union actors appear in Target’s anti-union video that they’ve been showing employees. Now, one of them is speaking out.

Yesterday, the International Labor Organization approved a convention to promote the rights of domestic workers worldwide.

Macy’s workers agreed on the tentative contact proposed yesterday to avert a potential strike.
