Concrete workers continue to strike after walking off the job yesterday at the World Trade Center construction site. Carpenters also joined the concrete workers in striking.

Pharmaceutical manufacturer, Merck, recently announced that it’s planning to lay off 13,000 workers in the next few years.

The NBA is suing the National Basketball Players Association for not bargaining in good faith.

An Op-Ed in the New York Times explores the effects of the Patco strike during the Reagan era.

In the wake of the agreement between the Civil Service Employees Association and Gov. Andrew Cuomo, public workers are concerned that there may be a loophole for layoffs.
