CINNAMINSON, N.J.—The Teamsters Union won a small victory in its efforts to organize drivers at XPO Logistics, Inc. in late October, when drivers at the company’s facility in Cinnaminson, N.J., voted 19-4 to join Local 107. The union said it won “despite the company’s vicious anti-worker campaign in which they used in-house union busters.” “The XPO workers in Cinnaminson are tired of the ongoing mistreatment, including the loss of work to subcontractors, and they know that by forming their union they can have a voice to challenge the company’s actions,” Local 107 President Bill Hamilton said in a statement. It has won elections at six other XPO sites since 2014, including Los Angeles, Miami, Trenton, N.J., and King of Prussia, Pa. XPO has been forced to pay raises it withheld from newly unionized workers in Miami and King of Prussia. Read more
