I have great news. The Cuomo administration hasmissed a key fracking deadline, guaranteeing that we'll keep the destructive practice out of our state for at least a little longer. This is a relief, and it's no exaggeration to say that we won this delay because of the tireless work of hundreds of thousands of folks like you. Now, with all eyes on New York, we need to show the Governor and our nation's leaders that the strength of our movement is still growing.

Together, we've done what many thought was impossible. We've kept fracking out of New York — pushing approval back time and again — in spite of the enormous power of the gas industry and the influence they have in politics. Now it looks like the Cuomo administration may have blinked, with the Governor's own Health Commissioner asking for more time to look at three important, ongoing studies and finish his health review.

I can't tell you how impressed I am by the dedication of this movement every day, but today especially, I'm proud to work alongside all of you.
