New York, NY – Sean T. Campbell, President and Principal Officer of Teamsters Local 813, which represents private sanitation workers as well as workers in the funeral, demolition, rental car, paper and corrugated, and factory and warehouse industries, has consistently worked on measures designed to improve the wages and conditions of his members. Campbell has been a Teamster for almost 30 years, and President for about five years, holding every officer’s position in the union. 

Halifax Transit Workers Win $192G Back Pay

Halifax, Canada - Bus mechanics here will get C$256,000 (about U.S. $192,000) in back pay under a settlement announced June 8 by Halifax Transit and Local 508 of the Amalgamated Transit Union.
