New,York NY- Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber has a produced a show, in which he composed 14 new songs,  which returns him to his rock roots as he did in Jesus Christ Super Star,Phantom of the Opera and Cats.  His creative juices have produced a solid hit in School of Rock The Musical. Glenn Slater wrote the lyrics to Sir Weber’s fun and catchy tunes.

This is a well-staged production with choreography by Joann Hunter and Laurence Connor, the director, who brings it all together in perfect harmony. Based on the film of the same name the sow tells the story of Dewey Finn, played by Alex Brightman, who is a substitute at a prestigious prep  school who creates a curriculum transforming his class into a rock band. The book by Julian Fellowes, who wrote Dowton Abbey, provides the humor to the story. The uptight Principal played by Sierra Boggess, comes alive as she throws off her priggish persona.  Both Mr. Brightman and Ms. Boggess give performances which will make them stars. The real stars of the show are the children who are absolutely wonderful as they play their own instruments and really rock   throughout the show. It is thrilling to witness theses young stars in action. School of Rock is pleasing entertainment that doesn’t miss a beat. I suggest that you register for the School of Rock the Musical for an enjoyable evening.
