New York, NY – “Holiday Inn” is based upon the 1942 academy award winning film of the same name with songs and lyrics by the iconic Irving Berlin.. Gordon Greenburg direction of the show brings the elements of book and music and dance together to give the audience a thoroughly entertaining event.

The book by Gordon Greenburg and Chad Hodge updates the musical to the delight of audiences. The choreography  adeptly staged by Denis Jones is dazzling and Ana Louizos set design and Alejo Vietti costumes places the audience into the time period and  are perfect complements to the feel  of Holiday Inn.

The original film starred Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.  Tony award winner Bryce Pinkham plays the role of Jim which was played by Bing Crosby and ‘Corbin Bleu ( known for High School musical) plays the Freed Astaire role of Ted. The supporting cast provides a perfect synergy for the musical. They are Lora Lee Gayer in the role of Linda Mason who is Jim’s love interest and Ted tries to take her to Hollywood to star in a film. The supporting cast consists of Megan Lawrence as Louise and Megan Sikora as Lila Doxon.

Among the twenty songs featured in “Holiday Inn” are Easter Parade, Heatwave, Check to Check and Shaking the Blues away.

The story revolves around Jim who quits the dance and song team which also stared Ted. Jim buys a farm in Connecticut and creates a dazzling entertainment showcase where performances are only held during holidays-   from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July.

This is an entertaining journey which enables the audience to travel through exciting song and dance routines as the show is recommended for folks of all ages. Truly you may leave the theater with the memory of ageless songs which you may hum or whistle. .
