OPEIU Local 29 Members Reject offer from Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld

Oakland, CA – After four contract negotiation sessions, spokesperson Caren P. Sencer, attorney for Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld, presented to the OPEIU Local 29 negotiating team their last best and final offer.

OPEIU contacted Federal Mediation to facilitate Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld to return to the bargaining table, according to OPEIU Local 29 President/Business Manager Tamara Rubyn. A date has been scheduled in January to resume bargaining. Meanwhile OPEIU members are working without a contract. Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld refused to sign an extension agreement prior to the expiration date of the contract.

Weinberg, Roger & Rosenfeld is one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the United States representing labor unions and their members; OPEIU represents approximately 29 legal secretaries at the firm.
