NLRB Backs Hotel Workers Against Trump

Las Vegas, NV – A National Labor Relations Board official has rejected Trump Hotel management’s attempt to void the election where workers voted to be represented by the Culinary Workers Union, UNITE HERE Local 226.

“I recommend that the Employer’s objections be overruled in their entirety,” Hearing Officer Lisa Dunn announced Feb. 18. Management, which claimed that Culinary organizers intimidated workers into voting for the union in the December election, has refused to recognize the bargaining unit. "If Donald Trump wants to 'Make America Great Again,' he should start right here in Las Vegas by negotiating with us the same deal his company made with his Canadian workers," Culinary Secretary-Treasurer Geoconda Arguello-Kline said in a statement. The union planned protests at the hotel this week, as Trump campaigns for the Nevada caucuses. Read more
