Retired former UFT political director Tom Murphy and recently elected president of the DC37 Retiree Chapter Rochelle Mangual will be honored at the annual COMRO end-of-year luncheon. The event is taking place on June 13th beginning 12 Noon at the UFT, 52 Broadway.

COMRO represents and advocates for over 250,000 New York City municipal retirees from over 30 unions and employee associations. COMRO President John Hyland said, “We continue to be a growing, vibrant collection of retirees who recognize that this historical moment requires strong advocacy for retired workers’ rights. Social Security and Medicare are now under serious attack in Washington, while our hard earned employee benefits are threatened in Albany and City Hall.”

The luncheon costs $40 per person. Anyone interested in attending should contact Jacob Judd at JJUDD18@optonline.net or John Hyland at jhyland38@gmail.com.
