New York, NY – The Association for a Better New York has appointed Angela Sung Pinsky to serve as Executive Director, working with the influential coalition of business, labor, non-profit and civic leaders.  Ms. Pinsky will assume the role effective September 15, 2015.

“Angela brings a wealth of experience and a deep appreciation for what can be accomplished when government and the business, civic, not-for-profit and labor communities are working hand-in-hand to create a better New York,” said ABNY Chairman William Rudin. “ABNY has been blessed over the years by great leaders, including Jennifer Hensley, whom Angela is replacing.  I know I speak on behalf of the entire membership when I say that the best is yet to come for both ABNY and the City of New York.”

As Senior Vice President for Management Services and Government Affairs, Pinsky was responsible for REBNY’s commercial and residential Management Divisions and managed efforts to improve communication and procedures between the private sector and various governmental agencies that regulate construction, development, and building management. She acted as REBNY’s lead on building code, real property regulations, sustainability and energy, and federal issues that impact New York City real estate. Ms. Pinsky was also the former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayors of Economic Development in the Bloomberg Administration.

“ABNY is a unique and powerfully effective organization, which is fueled simply by its members’ great passion for New York City,” said Pinsky. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Bill Rudin, the Board of Directors and all of ABNY’s members to even further advance the City we love.”
