Washington, DC – Twenty-five thousand union flight attendants have reached joint collective bargaining contract terms with United Airlines on a new labor contract. Details were finalized over the weekend.
AFA-CWA elected leaders will meet Monday and Tuesday to decide whether or not to approve the terms. AFA-CWA members will then get a vote on whether to ratify the labor contract terms. This happened with oversight from the National Mediation Board. It's taken several years for the flight attendants to come to terms on a new joint labor contract following the merger of United Airlines and Continental Airlines.
