SPRING HILL, Tenn.—Workers at General Motors’ Spring Hill plant have ratified a new five-year contract, United Auto Workers Local 1853 announced Apr. 8. “Management brought over 80 demands to the table, most of which were takeaways from our production and skilled trades members,” Local 1853 Chair Mike Herron told the Columbia Daily Herald.

April 22, 2018 N.J. State Workers Reach Deal on First Contract Since 2015

TRENTON, N.J.—The union representing 32,000 New Jersey state employees announced Apr. 16 that it has reached a tentative contract agreement with Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration. The Communications Workers of America said the four-year deal would be retroactive to July 2015, when its last contract expired, and include two 2% raises.
