Washington, DC – [Daniel Barnhart]: “A pro-active stance against the Trump/Devos agenda for schools. It’s clear that Donald Trump and his nominee have very little knowledge of, experience or understanding of public schools or the communities we live in.”
United Teachers of Los Angeles Secretary Daniel Barnhart talking about Thursday’s national protests to defend public education at schools in 200 cities.
[Daniel Barnhart]: “Two hundred ninety seven schools signed up in Los Angeles. Through our nationwide network we expect over 200 different cities to participate in similarly themed actions.
So we’re expecting thousands of teachers, parents, students, other educators, coming out before school and making a demonstration.”
Public education supporters are also creating a “tweetstorm” via #SchoolTrump.
